But first, the backstory…
I think I’ve mentioned on here before that I started blogging in the summer of 2017. At the time it was more of a diary for me and I didn’t think much of it. A few months later God revealed to me that blogging would not just be a hobby for me. He revealed that I would use it to do ministry. I was ready, but I was also scared. Guess you could say that I was feeling a little Matthew 28:8 at that moment.
I was excited that God wanted to use me, but I also knew that I wasn’t the perfect example of what a Christian looked like. It was hard for me to understand how I could tell people to be obedient and trust God, when I wasn’t even doing it myself. But instead of running away from my calling, I started to turn away from the things that were pulling me away from God. I started to study my bible, set boundaries in my relationships and change the things that I listened to.Instead of running away from your calling, run away from the things that are pulling you away from God! Growing up, one tool that always helped me when I was trying to strengthen my relationship with God was devotionals. Let’s be honest here, we know we need to read the bible because it is the Word of God and faith comes by hearing it. However, sometimes you need a little help getting through it. I started looking all over the internet and amazon for a book of devotionals. I couldn’t seem to find one that really spoke to me or related to things that I was going through.
So I decided to write my own. As I was writing them God told me that they weren’t just for me and that I needed to share them with others. This had me a little shook! Like God, you want me, a person who JUST started getting back on track, to write devotionals to help other people? Who am I to try to help people when I’m struggling with temptation and disobedience myself? But he reminded that me that because He called me, He also qualified me.
With that being said, I thought New Years Day would be the perfect day to give you all this ebook of 24 two-minute devotionals and prayers. The topics included in these devotionals are God’s love, jealousy, forgiveness, and relationships. Now because I initially wrote these devotionals for me I think they are directed towards young women. However, a lot of people have been telling me that my writing has helped more than young women so in the future I will be working on creating devotionals that can help everyone! The ebook is free and all I ask is that you share this post with someone else. Just enter your name and email below and it will be delivered right into your inbox!
Thank you in advance and I pray that these devotionals and prayers help you grow into the person God has called you to be!
